"The 45 million who don't have insurance – if they get sick they go
to the emergency room for care. And that's not ideal care, as you know,
it's not the preventative care they need, doesn't get them the
prescription drugs to stave off an acute condition developing from a
chronic condition."
And why do they use the emergency room? Because they don't have
insurance, and they know that the ER can not turn them down. And who
pays for this? It's called a big write off at the end of the year, and
then the hospitals charge more for care the next year to make up the
losses. And who pays for that? Well, my friends, YOU!!! The insurance
premiums that you pay take a big hike, and you get to pay more.
Something screws up at the hospital, and a law suit is filed... the
doctor and hospital settles out of court, and who pays for that? YOU!!!
The malpractice insurance then increases for the physician who very
kindly passes those charges on to the consumer. Don't get me wrong, I
strongly believe in law suits for gross misconduct, but for some of the
silly stuff that we see?
And just how does Mitt Romney plan on giving Americans more
affordable healthcare?
*Deregulate State Markets.
*Fix The Tax Code.
*Reform The Medical Liability System.
*Promote Innovation In Medicaid.
*Bring Health Care Into The 21st Century.
And what has Romney said about he is going to accomplish this?
*Allow people to purchase private
insurance, not government insurance. People must be responsible for
themselves!
*No government-managed healthcare and no increase in taxes.
*No more free rides.
Gov. Mitt Romney (R-Mass) did it for his state of Massachusetts, but can
he have success in lowering the hospital bill of Americans all over the
United States? Good Luck Mitt!!!
This is the first article in a series on what the candidates think about
healthcare. I have sent an email to EVERY major candidate, and I will be
posting articles as I get permission to use information from their
websites.
